Education
I have a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from California State University, Fullerton. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Portuguese from California State University, Fullerton. I attend many professional development sessions at my school sites, listen to educational podcasts, and watch useful videos to help me teach or to share with my students.
Experience
My career is in education and specifically with teaching English as a second language. Learning about students and their needs for the language is interesting for me. Some topics I enjoy teaching and learning about are technology, business, real estate, and economics. Some of my favorite books that have helped me lately are "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki,"The Road to Ruin" by James Rickards and "The Richest Man in Babylon." I am an English Instructor and have been a tutor in different college's and privately. I enjoy one-on-one conversation with my students. This helps me learn what specific needs and goals each student needs. In addition to teaching English, I have also taught a computers and writing class, I am currently an ESL computer lab instructor, I have created class websites, and written curriculum.
