As I am in the process of obtaining my certification in teaching, I am able to demonstrate various skills in working with students. I have experience in working with students of any age and am able to assist in several different subject areas. I specialize in tutoring elementary age students and my teaching certification will be for this specific age group. I have several different methods for approaching subjects and my goal is to inspire my students to enjoy their school years. Learning is a journey that should last a lifetime and it is something to be passionate about. I believe in each student feeling as if their needs are being addressed properly and immediately by their teacher and that they are encouraged to explore different possibilities throughout their education. I am a graduate of California State University, having received a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development, specializing in working in an elementary school environment. I am a skilled writer and possess the ability to critically analyze and apply concepts of literature, which allows me to use critical thinking skills in my lessons.My hobbies include living an active lifestyle, traveling, movies, reading, and spending time with my family.
