Advanced honors English classes for all four years of high school; took Algebra 2 (the graduation requirement) as a freshman in H.S. SAT score of 1300 on the new scale (700 Critical Reading, 600 Mathematics). I want to be a tutor because I've always enjoyed peer editing and revision done in class, and I love learning and knowledge. I want to help students that begin to hate school and learning because of their struggles with curriculum. Every student should feel as smart and capable as they are.

I am one of the few individuals that actually enjoys the education aspect of school-- I definitely have a bit of nerd in me. However, I also really value creativity and having a sense of humor. I've found it balances out quite nicely with my academic side. I am an avid musician, having played guitar classically for seven years (10 years total) and piano for one year. Writing is one of my passions-- whether it be creatively, for a school paper, or musically. I love interacting with people on an individual basis. As a customer service employee for over three years, I find it to be very rewarding and fulfilling when I am able to help anyone and make any sort of difference in their day or even their lives. I used to play "teacher" when I was a kid, and though I decided it wasn't the full-time career path for me, tutoring is the next best option. I also volunteer at an elementary school near me because I enjoy playing with and being around the preschoolers.
